Terms of use
For the Travel Whoop trip planner (plan.travelwhoop.com and the Travel Whoop apps) · last updated 23 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply between you and Travel Whoop (name and address in the imprint, email [email protected]) when you use the Travel Whoop trip planner on the web or in the apps. The travel guides and the flight search on travelwhoop.com are free to read and use without an account; for bookings made through them, see section 8. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.
2. Your account
- You need an account to plan trips. You must be at least 16, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
- Keep your sign-in safe. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (tap your initials → account settings).
3. What Travel Whoop does
Travel Whoop helps you and the people you invite plan trips: itineraries, travel times, maps, bookings, packing lists, shared expenses, videos and photo books. Planning is free. Some extras need a Trip Pass or Travel Whoop Pro (section 4). We keep improving the app, so features may change; we won't take away what you've paid for during the time you paid for it.
4. Trip Pass and Travel Whoop Pro
- Trip Pass (€4.99, one payment): unlocks the extras for one trip, for everyone on that trip, for as long as the trip exists.
- Travel Whoop Pro (€1.99 a month or €19.99 a year): unlocks the extras on all your trips and the Pro-only features. It renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; Pro then stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- The app shows what each one includes before you buy. Prices are final prices. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), we don't charge VAT.
- Buying on the website: payment is handled by Stripe. The contract is made when you complete the payment. Cancel Pro in the app under Your account → Your plan → Cancel Pro.
- Buying in the iPhone app or the Android app: you pay Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their terms. Renewals, cancelling and refunds go through your Apple or Google account (iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions).
- If we ever close Travel Whoop, we'll tell you at least 30 days before and refund the unused part of any Pro year you paid us for.
5. Your right of withdrawal (for consumers in the EU)
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is made.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Travel Whoop, email [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough for you to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agreed otherwise; you will not be charged any fees for this.
If you asked for Pro to begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount in proportion to what has been provided until you told us that you withdraw, compared with the full contract.
Early end of the right of withdrawal
For the Trip Pass (digital content), the right of withdrawal ends once we have started unlocking it, if you expressly agreed that we start before the end of the withdrawal period, confirmed that you know you lose your right of withdrawal by this, and we confirmed this to you. For Pro (a digital service), it ends once the service has been fully provided, if you expressly agreed to the start before the end of the withdrawal period and confirmed that you know this.
Model withdrawal form
(If you want to withdraw from the contract, fill in this form and send it back.)
To Travel Whoop, email [email protected]:
I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the supply of the following digital content / service (*):

Address of consumer(s):
Email address used in Travel Whoop:

Purchases in the App Store or Google Play: Apple or Google is the seller there and handles withdrawals and refunds under its own terms.
6. Your content and sharing
- What you add (places, notes, photos, files, comments) stays yours. You allow us to store it, process it and show it to the people you share it with, as far as needed to run Travel Whoop. This ends when you delete it, except for copies others on a shared trip still need, and backups (deleted after 14 days).
- If you publish a plan (a view-only link, "Use this itinerary" or Explore), anyone with the link, or anyone browsing Explore, can see its route and copy it into their own trips. Never people, money, bookings, notes or your own photos.
- Only add what you're allowed to: no content that breaks the law or the rights of others (for example photos you don't have the rights to, or other people's personal data without their OK), no spam, no harassment and no attempts to break or overload the service.
- Anyone can report a published plan. We look at reports and may hide or remove content that breaks these rules, and in serious or repeated cases close the account. We'll tell you why, unless the law doesn't allow it, and you can reply to us.
7. Travel information
Travel times, train and bus times, opening hours, weather, prices, holidays and suggestions come from public sources and estimates (listed in the privacy policy). They are often right but not always: check anything important (a last train, a flight, opening times) with the operator before you rely on it.
8. Bookings with partners
When you book a stay, flight, tour or printed photo book through a link or button in Travel Whoop or the guides, you make that booking with the partner (for example Booking.com via Stay22, an airline or booking site via Travelpayouts, or Peecho for photo books), under its terms. We may earn a commission from the partner, at no extra cost to you. We are not a party to that contract.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for the contract and which you may regularly rely on, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence. Keep your own copies of anything important (for example tickets and booking confirmations).
10. Ending the contract
You can stop using Travel Whoop and delete your account at any time. We can end a free account with four weeks' notice, and can close any account straight away for a serious breach of these terms. If we close an account with paid Pro for any reason other than a serious breach, we refund the unused part.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example for new features or changes in the law. We'll tell you by email or in the app at least four weeks before a change takes effect. Changes to the price or to what you've paid for apply only if you agree. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel and delete your account.
12. Other
- German law applies, without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
- We don't take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and are not obliged to. Write to us first; we'll try to sort it out.
- The contract language is English or German. We don't keep a separate copy of the contract text for you: these terms are always at this address, and you can save or print them.
- If one part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
